$10.00 schooling fee for non-showing horses
*In any equitation divistion with more than 10 horses
entered in the entire division, there will be a drawing for free entry
fees
*ANRC logo items will be for sale
*ANRC will provide a High Score Award for the highest scoring rider in
any division
Established in 1939,
the ANRC initiated a standardized method to educate riders in Hunt Seat
Equitation. The overall goal of the ANRC is to promote a contemporary,
systematic approach to riding, training and teaching thatt is appropriate

Morning

DIVISION I - Beginner
Equitation - Classes 1, 2, 3
Rider may compete ONLY in classes 1 thru 4
1 - Equitation/Flat - Walk, Trot
2 - Equitation/Flat - Walk, Trot, Individual Canter
3 - Equitation/Cross Rails - Course of 4 jumps
4 - Dressage Sportif
- (hunter style progam ride)
Walk, Trot ride. Open to all
DIVISION II - Classes
5, 6, 7
5 - Equitation/Flat - Walk, Trot, Canter
6 - Equitation/ Jump Course A - 18" or 2'
7 - Equitation/ Jump Course B - 18" or 2'
8 - Dressage Sportif
- (hunter style program ride)
Walk, Trot, Canter ride. Open to all
DIVISION III - Classes
9, 10, 11
9 - Equitation/Flat - Walk, Trot, Canter
10 - Equitation/ Jump Course A - 2'6" or 3'
11 - Equitation/ Jump Course B - 2'6" or 3'
12 - Equitation on
outside course (if weather permits) Jumps approx 2'3" or 2'9"
Afternoon Classes
1:00 PM Starter Show
Open to all - No age restrictions in any class - Good introduction
to showing!
1 - Leadline - Judged
on riders position and suitability
2 - Leadline - Judged on horse's suitability and manners
3 - Walk - Judged on rider's position, control, suitability and manners
of mount
4 - Walk - Judged on rider's position, control, suitability and manners
of mount. This will include halting and turning through a very simple
pattern
5 - Walk, Trot - Judged on rider's position, control, suitability and
manners of mount
6 - Walk, Trot - Judged the same as Class 5. Will include trotting over
ground rails.
7 - Walk, Trot, Individual Canter - Judged the same as Class 5.
8 - Walk, Trot, Individual Canter - Judged the same as Class 5. Will include
two small jumps.
RULES & REGULATIONS
Current Negative
Coggins Test Required
1 - Points will be
5-3-2-1 for each Equitation (morning) class. Champion will be awarded
only in the morning classes
2 - Schooling permitted in the ring before the show and during the lunch
break
3 - Decisions of the Judge and show committee are final
4 - Boots and bandages are permitted
5 - No stallions permitted
6 - Adults may ride ponies. All classes are open to horses and ponies
7 - Proper hard hats are reqired at all times in the ring and schooling
areas
8 - Water is not available
9 - Classes 4, 8, and 12 do not count toward Championships
SPECIFICATIONS
1 - Equitation will be judged on unity of horse and rider, security of
rider, non-abuse of the horse and efficient use of the aids (voice, weight,
legs and hands). Implied in the above are correct design of position,
correct weight distribution, balance and rhythm in motion.
2 - Dressage Sportif - Rider will be asked to perform a program ride that
may involve circles, half-circles, sitting trots, figure eights, etc.
