outside course (if weather permits) Jumps approx 2'3" or 2'9"
Afternoon Classes
1:00 PM Mini Equitation Derby
With the increased interest in Hunter Derbies, we are offering a Mini
Equitation Derby experience over our second outside course, extending
hunter activities outside of the ring.
1 - EQUITATION ON
THE OUTSIDE COURSE - Field Hunter Area
Low course is approx. 2' - Higher course is approx. 2'9"
2 - EQUTATION IN THE RING - walk, trot, canter.
3 - HANDY HUNTER EQUITATION - Field 2
Jumps will not be higher than 2'3" and will include a small bank,
small ditch, a trot fence, and a halt on course.

Coggins Test Required
1 - Points will be
5-3-2-1 for each Equitation (morning) class. Champion will be awarded
only in the morning classes
2 - Schooling permitted in the ring before the show and during the lunch
break
3 - Decisions of the Judge and show committee are final
4 - Boots and bandages are permitted
5 - No stallions permitted
6 - Adults may ride ponies. All classes are open to horses and ponies
7 - Proper hard hats are reqired at all times in the ring and schooling
areas
8 - Water is not available
9 - Classes 4, 8, and 12 do not count toward Championships
SPECIFICATIONS
Morning:
1 - Equitation will be judged on unity of horse and rider, security of
rider, non-abuse of the horse and efficient use of the aids (voice, weight,
legs and hands). Implied in the above are correct design of position,
correct weight distribution, balance and rhythm in motion.
2 - Dressage Sportif - Rider will be asked to perform a program ride that
may involve circles, half-circles, sitting trots, figure eights, etc.
Afternoon:
1 - Classes
will be run in sections of 10 horses
2 - Outside Course will be held in our field hunter area next to the ring
3 - Flat Class will be held in the ring
4 - Handy Hunter will be held in our second field below the ring next
to the front driveway. It will include jumps no higher than 2'3"
a small ditch, a small bank, trot fence and a halt while on course.
